SAFECOM WORKPLACE SYSTEMS LTD.

Safecom was formed through the collaborative efforts of a group of individuals with experience in construction, safety, engineering and program development.

By uniting the insights of these distinct specialties and backgrounds, we have created both service programs and on site products specifically designed for construction safety.

WHAT IS WORKPLACE SAFETY?

Safety is not just policies and paperwork. Safety is not any particular event. Safety is not something you can touch.

Safety is a mindset. It’s a commitment. It’s a way of working. Safety as an adjective is identical to quality. The evidence is visible and undeniable. Both terms describe performance standards. Mandating without compromise, the commitment to safe work practices from all parties concerned, with the same conviction you attach to the quality of your work, is the surest way to build a strong safety culture within your organization.

When safety policies and programs are thought out and implemented through a series of consistent routine practices, the evidence of their effectiveness is clear.

  • No workers require first aid treatment.
  • No workers have to leave work to seek medical attention.
  • No workers are critically or fatally injured.
  • No work is interrupted by Ministry of Labour orders.
  • No one is required to explain his or her actions in a court of law.

Basically nothing happens other than productive work!

GOALS OF A SAFETY PROGRAM

  1. A safer workplace
Properly trained and monitored workers using the right equipment and safety devices and following the proper procedures experience far fewer injuries. Working safely reduces overall costs to every employer.
  2. Eliminate production interruptions
Ministry of Labour stoppages can be eliminated through a safety program that identifies potential problem areas of compliance and creates checks and procedures to address them before they become a problem.
  3. Calm the fear of litigation
Companies with solid evidence of their “DO” diligence are less likely to have to put forward a defense of “Due Diligence”.
